Business Development Lead Application for Andros Innovations

The Mission: Retire The Haber-Bosch Process.

Humanity relies on the Haber-Bosch process to feed 4 billion people, but it consumes ~1% of the world's energy and spews gigatons of carbon dioxide. At Andros, we are building the reactor to end this dependency. We are developing a decentralized, low-pressure ammonia synthesis platform to decarbonize the future of food and fuel. We need a Business Development Lead to secure commercial victories, find customers, negotiate pilots, and sign the offtake agreements that validate our technology to the world.

The Role

You will stand at the intersection of Sales, Market Strategy, and Techno-Economic Analysis. While the engineers build the reactor, you sell the molecules. You will be responsible for identifying beachhead markets, cold-calling potential partners, and structuring the deals (LOIs, MOUs) that bridge the gap between "technology" and "revenue."

What you will actually do:

  • Hunt for Revenue: You will execute an aggressive outbound strategy to identify early adopters of green ammonia. You are not just building a pipeline; you are closing contracts.

  • Secure Offtake Agreements: You will negotiate Letters of Intent (LOIs) and definitive purchase orders for our green ammonia.

  • Voice of the Customer: You will bring market reality back to the lab. You will tell the engineering team exactly what the customer needs, ensuring we build what the market wants.

  • Techno-Economic Modeling (TEA): You will own the unit economics model. You will work with the technical team to calculate the Levelized Cost of Ammonia (LCOA) and map it against customer willingness to pay.

  • Strategic Partnerships: You will build relationships with chemical distributors and logistics providers.

  • Non-Dilutive Funding: You will assist in writing commercialization plans for DOE/NSF grants, proving to government stakeholders that there is a commercial path for our science.

Must-Haves:

  • BS in Engineering/Science + 3-5 years of Commercial Experience (Business Development, Technical Sales, or Product Management).

  • Deal Closer: You have a track record of getting contracts signed. You know the difference between a "polite conversation" and a "buying signal."

  • Deep Tech Fluency: You can explain the difference between grey, blue, and green ammonia. You aren't intimidated by technical questions from a customer's engineer.

  • Self-Starter: You don't need a marketing department to generate leads. You know how to scrape LinkedIn, find emails, and hustle.

  • Analytical: You are comfortable in Excel. You can build a bottoms-up market sizing model and defend your assumptions.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience in the Clean Energy, Chemical, or Agriculture sectors.

  • Experience selling "early access" or pilot technology programs.

  • MBA with a focus on energy/sustainability.
